“ We had a fantastic dining experience! The bruschetta was delicious and the bread perfectly toasted. I had the barbabietole salad and my fiance had the Caesar. For our entrees, rigatoni alla carbonara and tagliatelle alla bolognese. Dessert was a pistachio cheesecake and raspberry sorbet with cappuccinos. Amazing, everything! Our server, Joey attended to our every need and was so kind. I hope we get Joey every time we come here - and we will certainly be back soon! ”
“ Always a wonderful experience. I sit in the bar area ( as I am single ) which is a wonderful atmosphere, love the decor. I am a foodie and Zharko does not disappoint! His honed in talent is a delight from the smell of the food as it arrives to the flavors, quality of ingredients and wine selection by the glass available.Gentleman Bartenders Dave and Michael you will enjoy. The Best! I Highly Recommend La Strada bar area or formal dining with friends ( reservations needed) if you haven’t been. ENJOY! ”
“ Overall a very good experience. Food was remarkable, service was friendly and food arrived timely. I stopped in with a craving for truffle however I did not end up satisfying it. I was hoping to add truffle to a garlic oil sauce however the chef stated “No chef in the world would add truffle to an oil based sauce”. He created a delicious dish for me; however I still believe the truffle would have made it 1000% better. I believe in breaking rules and experimenting! I also ordered the beat salad which was exceptional - the flavors were superb. I don’t think I have ever enjoyed a salad more. My friend ordered lasagna, which she loved. Her only complaint was that the bruschetta crust was a little overdone. ”
“ Great restaurant and absolutely AMAZING staff all around. The hostess were extremely friendly when we walked in, we waited at the bar for about 15 minutes because we were early for our reservation but they seated us right on time for the actual reservation. Bartenders were great and had great wine recommendations. Our server Tony was excellent and he has great recommendations. He was super friendly and also had a great sense of humor and had us laughing throughout the night. Food was excellent all around especially the pistachio cheesecake we had for dessert. Would definitely return! ”
“ This place started as a cafe and has now become a high end, legit Italian restaurant. The food is the star. Imported cheeses and cured meats, perfect pastas, and gourmet meat dishes. A wine list that might be the best in Birmingham. 10 Barolo selections, for example. And an understanding of what it means to have a slow, proper Italian dinner. Highly recommend. ”
“ I have been in Michigan for 25 years coming from New York. This is the first meal and an Italian restaurant that exceeded my experience in New York. Their eggplant Parmesan was off the chart they’re Bolognese the same the appetizers we had work fantastic. We had veal meatballs the sauce was to die for and the buffalo mozzarella with the pesto sauce was phenomenal. Our server was Joey and he was the icing of the cake. Thank you for a wonderful experience tonight I will become a regular ”
